The strange creature enlightens Corben of the true physiology of the planet. Members of its' race, known as the Pryme, comprise the population of the hive. In a dreamstate, their minds literally generate the entire planet, complete with its' surface dwelling population, as a protective guise to conceal the precious Pryme hive at its core. The entire planet is an extension of the Pryme imagination that has mysteriously deteriorated since Corben's arrival. In order to save the planet, the hive must be healed.
