THE GRAPHIC NOVEL

In the Spring of 1941, the Nazis make an ancient archaeological find in the Carpathian basin of Hungary. It reveals a connection between the Catholic church in Italy and practices of the occult. Eager to 'expose' Christianity's pagan origins and further the Aryan cause, the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua becomes the target of a very unorthodox investigation. An arrogant and ambitious SS officer seizes the collection of sacred relics from the basilica, among them, blessed relics of the saint himself. The atmosphere of Padua deteriorates into surreal chaos, fueled by the fears of a nation at war as allies turn upon each other.

Someone or something has had enough of the Nazi injustice and decides to strike back at the oppressors. By the time Gideon arrives in Padua to investigate, the bodies of mutilated SS soldiers have made headline news.

The infuriated Nazis attempt to occupy Padua to investigate the grisly murders, but they are opposed by a most unlikely guardian. Something inhuman, possibly even unholy, appears to be protecting the followers of St Anthony, but why? Gideon is thrown deeper into a maelstrom of chaos and controversy as he tries to investigate the volitile situation. Time is running out for the Catholic Church as Gideon attempts to solve the mystery of the mysterious legacy of St Anthony.
