Napoleon (LEON), Maximilian (MAX), Alexander (ALEX) and Augustine (GUS). These punks are cherubs ( or 'Bims) who followed Gideon to Earth. They idolize him and resemble a heavenly version of the 'Dead-End Kids' or the 'Newsboy Legion'. Gideon thinks they were sent to retrieve him when he left Heaven and decided to stay and support his cause. In truth, they report directly back to God with updates about Gideon's activities. Unlike Gideon, the 'Bims can travel between Earth and Heaven.

Don't be fooled by their youthful, street-wise, video-playing, techno-geek appearance - these tykes are fully grown. They just look young because they're cherubs. Like Gideon, they still have their wings and keep them concealed with jackets and backpacks. They are smart, efficient little soldiers that can actually be quite useful to Gideon at times. Because of this, they've won his partial trust. He reluctantly allows them to assist in certain aspects of his operations.

Max, a student of Earth history, helped the 'Bims select their names from notable historical figures. Even so, they tend to look down on humans, but ultimately feel sorry for their kind. They think it's especially gross when Gideon "couples" with a human female.
