Gideon's ambitious one-man mission is to hunt Lucifer down and put an end to his malevolence forever. Easier said than done, because although Gideon is certainly more than human, he is somewhat less than divine, since he no longer possesses a complete celestial arsenal. God has allowed him to keep his wings, (now turned black) and a watered-down version of his celestial powers. Gideon is no longer infallible, due to his current "hybrid" status, although he can fly, is very strong, and has great endurance. He is now only capable of performing miracles of the minor variety - such as producing a perfect soufflé on the first try. He is psychometric and can therefore 'read energy' through his sense of touch. Using this ability, he can also heal people of most diseases, as long as their condition is not too advanced. Being of celestial origin, he can speak any language on Earth and more than a few from other worlds. Although no longer immortal, his aging process is very slow. His wings, like any other part of him can be damaged, he can bleed, and even be killed.
