THE WIZARD IS ODD - Oz Revisited               Available in 2004

The marvelous children's classic is turned upside down in this slightly spastic adaptation by Frank Cirocco. Follow the adventures of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto too as they journey through this refreshingly revisited World of Oz. A delicate blend of sacrilege and insipid respect, this newest version of the original Wonderful Wizard of Oz is sure to have L. Frank Baum spinning in his grave. The Yellow Brick Road has never looked so good.

Shielding their eyes from the dazzling light, they looked beneath the mirrored sphere where an ostentatious throne was centered directly in the middle of the room. Upon this majestic place of honor, hovered the biggest disembodied head they had ever seen. Dorothy and the others gasped aloud, for the head had a bulbous, pulsating cranium, immense, vacant eyes, a large proboscis, pointy ears and a little goatee. An unsettling touch was added by accessorizing his ultra-creepy appearance with a little harlequin hat cocked to one side.

"He looks a little like a gay Mr. Potato Head," the Tin Man observed.

"Certainly seems to recognize the merits of a notable first impression," thought the Lion.

“Not everyone could carry off a look like that,” considered Dorothy.

“Nice hat,” admired the Scarecrow.
